Handmade Chessboard Set in Jadeite Green

The game of chess and the sculptural form of the playing pieces, has always intrigued me (even more so since watching Queen’s Gambit) but this unique jadeite green hue, reminiscent of vintage jadeite ware, really caught my eye.

In a one of a kind created artist piece featuring the artist’s engraving on bottom of board, this is a truly captivating chess set that will be enjoyed for years to come. Using a silicone mold to create the  board and individual playing pieces, the artist carefully uses a drill to mix an epoxy resin which is then ink dyed and poured carefully into a mold utilizing a small syringe. In a meticulously executed process with intense attention to detail, the resin is allowed to cure and then carefully extracted from the mold to cure further for an additional three days resulting in a beautifully crafted yet durable work of art. A beautiful chess set to be both admired and enjoyed.
