Jack-in-the-Pulpit Glass Candlesticks
A dash of whimsy, if you please! Named after it's botanical inspiration, these Jack in the Pulpit vases/candlesticks are a lovely example of hand shaped art glass. The beautiful trumpet shape was crafted in glass vase form in the mid 1800's, and later named Jack in the Pulpit by Louis Comfort Tiffany. His notoriety created their widespread popularity which was followed by reproduction by other noted glass makers. This pair dates mid-century and easily doubles as candlestick holders.
In excellent vintage condition, very clean with no chips. Lightweight hand blown glass. They measure 4 3/4" tall and 4" wide. Actual vase depth is 1 1/2" long by 1" in diameter. Due to their handcrafted nature, one it slightly taller than the other. Delicate and simple but a very pretty addition to any celebration. Their flared trumpet style creates a sweet background for garden stems and blooms.
Rest in your window sills, atop a mirror for fun display or on our vintage silver tray for an elegant vibe, as shown.
